Breakthroughs in multiple key technologies have propelled my country's chemical industry into a fast track of green transformation.

Recently, several key technological breakthroughs have been achieved in my country's chemical industry, covering areas such as acetic acid production, polysilicon recovery, green methanol, and bio-based materials, promoting the industry's green and low-carbon transformation and high-quality development.

In the basic chemical raw materials sector, the 1.5 million tons/year acetic acid project of JUZHENGYUAN (Jieyang) has commenced trial production. This is one of the world's largest single-unit capacity plants, employing independently optimized processes, filling a capacity gap in South China, and will drive the coordinated development of downstream industries, consolidating my country's leading global position.

In the green circular economy sector, Ningxia Shenglan Chemical's polysilicon waste recovery technology has achieved a 99.9% comprehensive recovery rate, covering 80% of polysilicon enterprises nationwide, realizing domestic substitution of electronic-grade products, and achieving a 90% global market share. It has been recognized as a specialized and innovative "Little Giant" enterprise.

The green methanol industry is accelerating its scaling up, with over 200 related projects nationwide and a total capacity exceeding 51 million tons/year. It has already been applied in commercial vehicles, shipping, and other fields. Policy and corporate ecosystem collaboration are working together to gradually improve the entire industrial chain system.

Industry experts point out that the technological breakthroughs are due to policy support and collaboration between industry, academia, and research institutions, with fields such as green methanol and bio-based materials expected to open up trillion-yuan markets.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that the next step will be to strengthen policy support, promote industrial integration, improve green standards and carbon footprint mutual recognition, and help the chemical industry seize high-value-added segments of the global industrial chain.
